Many friends had recommend an LG tv before, so when my Samsung packed up, the opportunity was there. Looked around and found that here was the cheapest price!! What a TV!!!!!!!!!! Picture quality, sound, easy to set up and the self adjusting to light conditions. Won’t go back to anything else.
I bought this TV after returning a Sony 24″ smart internet TV. It is now positioned in my bedroom and is far bettter than the one I returned. Picture quality is good when using it with a freesat SD box and I was surprised to learn that you could use the usb for avi and divx files. Overall very easy to setup and use. Would definitely reccomend for this price.
Samsung LE32D550 Review
It’s a great little tv with a great quality picture when playing a dvd. The only problem we’ve got is that it does not have analogue freeview included, only digital freeview. Our area has not been converted to digital broadcasting yet and so we can only get the four main channels at the moment: BBC1,BBC2,ITV,CH4. A cool little extra though is that you can also play cds through it AND your ipod through it by using the L+R RCA inputs. As soon as our area changes do digital broadcast this’ll probably become five stars!

I’ve had this TV for just over a week now. I managed to get it for an amazing £483 which for a 50″ LG tv of this quality is a pure steal!
Picture quality – This tv is great, i have my PS3 and Xbox 360 hooked upto this so far and cannot complain what so ever. Even watching sky player on the 360 is a good picture which really suprised me. Blu rays on this is absolutely brilliant. I had another tv in the house to compare quality to (my dad has a 60″ LG in the living room) and to be quite honest, the picture quality is identical if not spot on the same.
Connectivity – hmmmm. To be honest i feel LG could have done a bit better of a job with it. They decided to put the connection facing directly to the wall and i have a “close fit” wall bracket so its difficult to get the HDMI, TV and power connections in. I would recommend connecting them before you hook it on the wall as the cables JUST fit. I havent attempted to hook up any surround sound as of yet but i know from my dads friend that its extremely easy as he has the same TV in his house. i wish that there was perhaps a third HDMI connection as 2 HDMI’s won’t be enough if i decide to get sky in my bedroom.
Extra thought – Many people complained about reflections on the screen…sweet jesus, if you are going to be watching a decent film on it, you would create a dark atmosphere to watch it anyway so no reflections. I’ve only noticed once that i had a reflection and it bothered me for about one tenth of a second. The remote is very easy to use, perhaps a slight bit big but well laid out. Picutre setup and sound are very straight forward and was completed in a sinch. As my area doesn’t swap over to digital i havent managed to test out the Freeview scan or layout as of yet but im sure it will be decent. One of the nice features on this particular TV that i like is “clear voice” (which my dads TV that is 3x more expensive than mine doesnt have) it allows you to alter the volume of peoples speaking if in certain films the music is very loud and you cant quite hear them over the background music etc.

Ich habe dieses TV seit knapp einer Woche hatte. Ich schaffte es, für eine erstaunliche 483 £, die für einen 50 “LG-TV in dieser Qualität ist ein reines stehlen zu bekommen!
Bildqualität – Dieser Fernseher ist toll, ich habe meine PS3 und Xbox 360 angeschlossen bis diese so weit und kann nicht klagen, was so überhaupt. Selbst beobachten Himmel Spieler auf der 360 ist ein gutes Bild, das mich wirklich überrascht. Blu-Strahlen auf das ist absolut brillant. Ich hatte einen anderen Fernseher im Haus zu vergleichen Qualität (mein Vater hat ein 60 “LG im Wohnzimmer) und um ehrlich zu sein, ist die Bildqualität identisch, wenn nicht am gleichen Ort.
Connectivity – hmmmm. Um ehrlich zu sein fühle ich mich LG könnte ein bisschen besser von einem Job mit ihm getan haben. Sie beschlossen, die Verbindung nach direkt an der Wand und ich habe eine “enge Passung” Wandhalterung so seine Schwierigkeiten mit dem HDMI, TV-und Stromanschlüsse hineinkommen ich empfehlen würde sie verbindenden, bevor Sie es Haken an der Wand wie die Kabel gelegt Just Fit. I havent zu Haken versucht dich jeden Ton als der noch umgeben, aber ich von meinem Freund Väter wissen, dass seine extrem einfach, wie er die gleichen TV in seinem Haus hat. Ich wünsche, dass es vielleicht ein Drittel HDMI-Anschluss als 2 HDMI’s werden nicht ausreichen, wenn ich mich entscheide, Himmel in meinem Schlafzimmer zu bekommen.
Extra gedacht – Viele Menschen klagten über Reflexionen auf dem Bildschirm … Sweet Jesus, wenn du aufpassen wird ein anständiger Film über sie, würden Sie eine dunkle Atmosphäre, es trotzdem zu sehen, so dass keine Reflexionen erzeugen. Ich habe nur bemerkt einmal, daß ich eine Reflexion, und es störte mich für etwa ein Zehntel einer Sekunde. Die Fernbedienung ist sehr einfach zu bedienen, vielleicht ein kleines bisschen groß, aber gut angelegt. Picutre Setup und Sound sind sehr geradlinig und wurde in einem SINch abgeschlossen. Da mein Gebiet, das nicht funktioniert Swap zur digitalen i havent geschafft zu testen, die für die DVB-T-Scan oder Layout als der noch, aber im sicher, es wird anständig. Eines der netten Features an diesem Fernseher, Ich mag es “klare Stimme” (was meiner Väter Fernseher, 3x teurer als meine doesnt ist haben) erlaubt es Ihnen, das Volumen der Völker sprechen zu ändern, wenn in bestimmten Filmen die Musik ist sehr laut und man kann nicht recht hören, wie sie über die Hintergrundmusik etc.
Alles in allem ist dies ein großer Fernseher bei £ 550 – £ 599 und unten! (Oder £ 483, wenn Sie Glück wie ich)
Recently purchased this TV/DVD as we were looking to upgrade the TV in our bedroom. I debated for a while having either a combi or a separate TV and DVD, ultimately opting for this purchase. I looked at a number of similar combi’s, many at a lower price however many were not as well presented as this is, often with low resolution and very often with a max 19″ screen. Was lucky enough to see this item in store (at an increased price) which really helped as I could get an up close look. Like many of Samsung products it is well constructed feeling very sturdy and it has a great look for a 22″ TV. With the addition of the DVD player I had imagined that the TV would be bulky at the back, this is not the case. Additionally it is very light making it easily portable unlike the TV it is replacing, a 12″ Video Combi…..
Installation was simple, out of the box all you have to do is screw in the base, two simple screws that takes a matter of minutes. Having plugged it in and connected the aerial the set up process is extremely simple, all programmes searched and installed within three minutes. Noticeably the control and menus are different than the 32″ Samsung we have downstairs, this is not an issue as it is easily navigated. Out of the box there was no need to adjust picture or sound settings, the picture and sound are crystal clear. We have this TV in our bedroom with a small indoor aerial and there is no noticeable degrading of the picture quality when correctly tuned in.
This is a perfect purchase as a second TV, the combination of the DVD is great as it really cuts down on clutter of extra plugs and wires, plus it looks great. We have only had it one night so it is not fully road tested but so far so good, Although I can see that this price has increased slightly since we purchased but it is still much more competitive than other retailers, thanks to Amazon, Supersaver delivery and we had in within three days even with the recent Snow related problems.

I don’t want to be negative as Amazon are brilliant, superb service and the best customer service staff you could hope for. But I am disappointed with this TV, the sound is just not right! You have to have the sound up so high, volume levels around 35 is quiet, but need to have TV on volume 45/50 to be able to hear it properly, if you play a CD on it though, you only need a volume of around 15, it’s very strange! The surround sound makes no difference whatsoever!
Everything else is fine with it, good picture, easy to use etc. Do not expect any service or advice from Samsung though, absolutely appauling attitude, their staff is the worst I have come accross, I have large Samsung Plasma in lounge and regret giving them so much business, I will never buy Samsung again, but I will always buy from Amazon with confidence.

I recently ordered the LG 32 ” full high definition television with built-in Freeview HD. The set up was easy and there are plenty of functions on picture and sound settings. The sound is great, but the picture quality is wonderful, especially on the HD channels. My only gripe is that LCD TV veiwing angles are not as good as plasma TVs. That said, the LG is as good as the high end LCDs on that front. The internet features include being able to pause and jump scenes on You Tube, use google maps and facebook, to name a few. Playback from You Tube looks like it is upscaled as even the SD videos look crisp. I am very impressed by the LG and will consider buying more LG TVs in the future.
