I bought this to replace a Philips 32PF9986 and I have to say it was a letdown. HD is brilliant but SD is blotchy and dull and washed-out. The onboard speakers are tinny and too quiet with Sky+. Sync with Sky is rickety in other respects.
The Philips, which was I admit nigh on £2k new, produced a gorgeous picture and full sound in comparison. It just didn’t have HD.

Excellent. Great picture, very easy to use and makes PS3 come to life. Delivered the very next day which I wasn’t expecting but obviously I was very pleased.
Has an easy to use memu system and excellent picture quality sound is average what more are you looking for.
I have previously owned two SONY Tvs but this is the first flat screen. The image is very sharp and as the footprint of the set is so small we can leave the tv in a corner of the lounge. The colour is very good and although it takes a couple of seconds for channels to appear when selected this is not a problem.

TV przyjechał dobrze zapakowane, ale łatwo się otwiera (i tak bardzo nienawidzę działek klejone!) Łatwo było mi po prostu wyjąć z pudełka i montaż stoiska.
I wszystkie moje podłączony sprzęt w niebo i odtwarzacz DVD i hey presto, byliśmy uruchomiony w ciągu 5 min.
Pod wrażeniem jakości obrazu, a ja tylko czekam na Sky HD zainstalować w tym tygodniu.
Miłość to widać każdy szczegół, i patrzyliśmy na stary film (Aleksander Wielki) i nie mogliśmy się nad jakością Motionflow. Richard Burton dobrze wyglądała rozważa on nie żyje od lat lol!
Jeden zarzut, który przyciąga kurz! ale to znaczy, że trzeba oczyścić więcej.

I bought 2 of these and am very impressed with what you get for the money. I was a bit concerned about some other reviews that state there are issues with the software crashing if it was left on standby overnight but as I tend to turn things off at the plug I wasn’t too bothered. However, I left both on standby for 2 days just to check and both worked fine after.
The freeview is great, as is the analogue tuner (I still need a built-in analogue tuner so I can see the CCTV system) and the build quality is just as good as other Sony telly’s purchased in the past.
The cheapest 26″ I could find was an Alba from Argos – for the extra £50 this is a great telly as you can see from the Amazon sales rank.

A mid range value for money Tv; at £676 this is a fantastic price for such a product.
The contrast, picture, and menu ease, for me make it a top seller within this price range. I was extremely happy with the picture; the colours were brilliant and upon watching a blu-ray, really stood out from any 4/5 series Samsung. The contrast ratio (despite some websites suggesting this is not important) was brilliant and in a light room the difference between bright and dark colours was noticeably fantastic. In addition, in regards to the hardwear, there were sufficient SCARTS and HDMI inputs/outputs which is important for many – especially if you run SKY/DVD/PS3/XBOX/WII AND seperate BLU RAY. the casing was very presentable in the Piano Black finish, although the small green LED to show power on did irritate a little.
However, there were some SERIOUS downsides to this product. The most important issue for anyone who knows LCD TV’s – Backlight bleed. This was so very noticable on all 4 corners whislt in a dark room. I would describe it as search lights shining into the screen. Very very very off putting when watching a film such as Batman; the Dark Knight. It was due to this reason I sent this product back to Amazon (awaiting my full refund but only returned yesterday). Amazon Technical did however suggest this may be a manufacturers fault but I was not prepared to take the risk again.
However, there was more….much more. The sound was terrible….you really do need to have a surround sound system if you require quality bass and depth.
I have purposely left the issue of Input Lag till last – if you are a PS3 owner and fond of games such as Call of Duty 4/5/6, then you will have some serious issues when it comes to the amount of time it takes for the TV to respond to your actions. I.e. when you fire a gun, you will see it almost 17 – 30 ms later on the tv. Many critics say this is unnoticeable…in my opinion it was the final straw.
In summary, for value this TV as a 40 inch is fantastic if you watch TV/DVD/BLU RAY in the day/good evening light conditions and require a clear, crisp dynamic picture. the Bravia 3 engine certainly extends upon picture quality. However if you are fussy and are looking for a TV to play hours of PS3 games and watch Films/Blu Rays in the dark like at a cinema, then I would opt to pay that little bit more for one of the newer EX500 Sony models which has a faster refresh rate (8ms) and LED’s supporting the frame thus avoiding backlight bleed.

Une valeur de milieu de gamme / prix Tv; à £ 676 c’est un prix fantastique pour un tel produit.
Le contraste, image, et la facilité de menu, pour me faire une des meilleures ventes dans cette gamme de prix. J’ai été extrêmement satisfait de l’image, les couleurs étaient brillants et regarder sur un lecteur Blu-ray, se démarque vraiment de tout 4 / 5 séries Samsung. Le rapport de contraste (malgré quelques sites proposant ce n’est pas important) a été brillant et dans une salle claire la différence entre les couleurs claires et sombres est sensiblement fantastique. En outre, en ce qui concerne la Hardwear, il y avait suffisamment de péritels et entrées HDMI / sorties qui est important pour beaucoup – en particulier si vous exécutez SKY/DVD/PS3/XBOX/WII et séparées BLU RAY. la boîte a été très présentable dans la finition noir piano, bien que la petite LED verte pour montrer la puissance sur le fait d’irriter un peu.
Cependant, il y avait quelques inconvénients GRAVE pour ce produit. La question la plus importante pour toute personne qui sait LCD TV – Bleed rétroéclairage. C’était pour cette raison, j’ai envoyé ce produit Retour à Amazon (en attente de mon remboursement complet, mais seulement rentré hier). Amazon techniques ont toutefois suggéré de ce mai être une faute fabricants, mais je n’étais pas prêt à prendre le risque de nouveau.

We had CRT TV for a while now and we finally decided to upgrade to HD televsion. We did a bit of research around and finally decided to go for this particular sony bravia.
When the TV finally arrived the first impression was wow! It looked very nice. However plugging it in and watching it was even better. The difference between standard and high definition was staggering. Overall very satisfied with the TV.

Wenn der TV endlich der erste Eindruck gekommen war wow! Es sah sehr nett. Allerdings schließen Sie es an und sah es war sogar noch besser. Der Unterschied zwischen Standard-und High-Definition war umwerfend. Insgesamt sehr zufrieden mit dem TV zufrieden.
